I'm sure a more frightening adjective could be added to solidify her as a ghost. I like the word "finally"; it's as if this person has been waiting, searching for his or hers lost little girl. Perhaps changing "bitterly" (with some rearranging) to "lifeless, icy cold" would capitlize it even more so. What if you changed the ending slightly, instead of giving it away at the beginning? After six long years... of mourning.

You just gave me an idea but I have no idea where to post it.
We should start a thread that allows each of us to partake in writing...we'll say one sentence a piece to continue on a story and see where it goes. This could be considered either an exercise or a form of inspiration...I'm not sure.

Ooooh! Love it. We do that in the car on long trips as the 'and then' game. A sentence or two to narrate the next action of the hero and then... the next person adds something ending with and then... I also have a genre tropes game where you each add a sentence to a story, but you're trying to turn the narrative in favor of your character, sort of a cross between a board game and an rpg called 'Pantheon'. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pantheon_(role-playing_game)Lets Do This!

This would probably fit best in the "Inspirations" section. I'll play too, it sounds like fun.

I have been trying so hard to write a drabble for the last 24 hours and I've written a few pages of a short shorty and a 221 word creepypasta. It's just so hard! I had this exact same problem with my resume.
