so, i spent some time earlier today (on day one for me) writing. Just typed it up and it turns out it was just over 1100 words. Not a bad beginning, and I'm staring to get a feel for the archeologist of the story. I updated my word count on the website, but i'm not sure, is there a place we are supposed to post what we have written? Or just save it to our computer and just update the word count?

Just keep updating the wordcount, make sure to back up your book somewhere or print it out as you go. There are threads on the forum for sharing snippets of your book if you feel like it!

thankfully I write it on paper first, then type it onto my laptop...in a file that automatically saves into a program called Dropbox. This means that i can acess this file from any computer, easily if i have the app installed (like on my laptop, hubby's laptop, my tablet, and my phone) or any computer with internet access via their website. I am doing some basic editting as I type it into the computer, so the handwritten copy is first draft, typed second; but I am also printing out the stuff I type up, so even if somehow dropbox deletes it all, it's not completely lost.
