ROFL
Darlax cleared his throat for the fifteenth time in as many minutes and started to rub at a spot on his breastplate with a little cloth he carried for that purpose
It's been a long time since I've played anything but WoW. Are these face-to-face characters that y'all always play? Like, are you always Janna and is Whatshisname always Darlax?

Janna is in fact one of my characters. The others I just made up on the spot to hit some of the archetypal character types. I thought Husband would get a kick out of me including my awesome rogue as an NPC (non-player-character) in the new game. Glad I captured the ________ness* of the paladin so well with the polishing cloth!
*I had a word here, but then I thought, maybe I didn't capture what I thought I did, maybe I'll ask the forum to fill in the blank. So what do you think Dear Readers? What is your impression of Darlax?

The perfect paladin ;D
In wow I like warlock. Paladins in their shiny stuff make me tired. I believe I've seen Darlak many times at the auction house lol.

oddly enough, my main toon in WoW (private server) is a Blood Elf Paladin, but her armor is almost black in colour...so not shiny i find warlock's too squishy, and i can't stand squishy toons...also another odd coincidence, in WoW i also have a druid...named Dlarak, the same letters as Darlak....hmmmm.... lol I don't get much chance to play d&d The first time i ever played I was a half elf ranger. in the first major fight (against a drow priestes) i critically fumbled...and dropped my weapon...so instead of taking a turn to pick it up, I jumped off the ledge I was standing on, and got a critical hit....the DM described it in quite vivid colours...apparently, my character leaped of the ledge in a blind fury, grabbing the drow priestess by the head, with my thumbs in her eyes, I drove her to the ground and bashed her head into the rock until she fell limp to the ground (actually he was much more graphic than that, but I'm trying ot not make ti too gory...none the less, i fell in love with the game that day)

Nat20/Oh noes, I rollded a onez! Darlax waded into the throng of skeleton warriors. The holy symbol carved into his shield blazed brilliantly as he called the power of his god through it to vanquish his foes. Waves of radiant light burst forth, rippling across the room. The skeletons directly in front of him were reduced to powder, those a few feet back exploded into fragments, showering walls with a tinkling sound. Yards away the unnatural constructs cracked and stumbled, the bones disconnecting as they tumbled into piles. Skeletons yet unseen in the gloom just stopped where they were and fell over as if they'd never been animated in the first place. Stunned, the party looked at Darlax. They lowered their unused weapons and looked around at the room, now empty of attackers. Darlax's chest puffed up, his eyes gleamed. "Oh dear." "Here it comes." "We'll never hear the end of this..." "HA HA! Evil shall never prevail while the watchful eyes of..." A dark shape leaped from a pile of bones. Darlax swung his sword in a high arc and managed to catch the side of his own helmet in its path. Panic drove him to continue the swing, pulling his helmet clean off and sweeping him off of his feet. As he fell prone he looked up at the ceiling, only to see his helmet speeding down at his face. He rolled to the side quickly and the helmet bounced off of the stone where his head had been, coming to rest a few feet away. His eyes tightly shut he breathed a sigh of relief, the next instant his nose filling with squirming, fetid fur. He had rolled right on top of the mangy rat that had startled him in the first place. His shrieks only made his companions laugh harder. Edited to drag and drop dialogue around. See! See! I can edit!

I realize that I didn't count any of my nano days as successes in here. Ah well. It's ok. Time to start again anyway, it has been a loooooong while. Today I'm working on Citrus. I may update with a word count, but for now: I'm just reporting that I'm writing.
