It was brought to my attention that proboards is fairly strict about the type of content that is allowed on the forums. The details are here in section 18: www.proboards.com/tosThe gist of it is that anything posted should be not more explicit than PG13. I have no issue with adult content or fan fiction and I don't want to stifle anyone's creativity. What I was thinking of doing, is using this forum to communicate and for works PG13 and tamer, but creating blogspot story blogs for fan fiction and things R rated and above. The only problem with this would be that authors could not directly post their work. It would have to be emailed to me and I would post it. Anyone could comment on the stories and discuss them though. I don't mind doing this, I've run story blogs for myself before and it's actually a lot of fun. If anyone wanted to update or delete a story they'd posted I would be able to do that. A second person could moderate it with me if they so desired Another option is to find a forum that allows adult content. I've looked around but haven't found anything nearly as nice (or as free ) as proboards. I am open to suggestions! What do you all think?

I have no suggestions for the solution, you are WAY ahead of me in the blogosphere, but I second the emotion.
A) None of my stuff is intended for kiddos, B) I think xrated stuff could be an art form like any other, and C) I dislike being censored even if I agree with the reason.
Also, free is good.

blog.com/features/They offer multi-author blog, and on another page it looks like the free one accommodates 35 authors. This was all I could find / figure out of their ex-tolerance... 7.3 Censorship Content published by The Author is not pre-screened by Blog.com. Blog.com shall have the right, in their sole discretion, to refuse publication or remove from their systems, of Content published by The Author.

Well, gee. I'm glad you mentioned this because I checked how many blogspot allows (the way it was worded I thought it was 2) and it looks like it's at least a 100. An older source says 100, but the recent info has no limit (but that doesn't mean it won't kick in at 100 maybe). Still, that's great. I do need to learn to read instructions better, heh.
I am more familiar with blogspot and I know they don't censor, they do have an "adult content" warning that's optional to add. Does blogspot sound all right? I can go a head and set that up. I'm open to trying the other place though.

Here is a test blog: creativityfromchaosstories.blogspot.com/I don't know if we would want to do this for potentially objectionable content only, or if we would want to back up everything there. I just put those pages up as possible story archives, I can change anything. Let me know what you guys think!

I think using blogspot sounds great, but I would recommend anything rated over pg13 should have the adult content warning or perhaps a section of it that has an obvious title so people who go there know what they are looking at. I have no issues with adult content, and do occasionally read...discriptive...books. But I prefer to know what I'm looking at, ya know??? I think it looks good though readily You've done a great job setting everythign up here, and adding the blog is great!

How about if the blog is only for R-rated, fan fiction, and such. Having people label the stories for content is a great idea, thank you for suggesting it. I'm seen that before on fan fiction and it makes it so much easier for readers Thanks ;D

Ooo I love it! Yay! ;D Ok, so anyone that wants to have access to the blog just send me a pm with your email address and I will add you. I believe you can then set up your own password and info from there. I will make a formal note about this at some point today, right now I've got to get back to my school work
