hey everyone. Just wanted to let everyone know that I've signed up for Camp NaNoWriMo, and I've got a cabin on the go there. If anyone is looking to come play, let me know (we have marshmellows and hot chocolate) and I'll send you an invite to the cabin.

Camp is coming up in just two days! I'm very pleased to be able to attend and continue work on my second novel. Woohoo!

Our cabin is hoppin' too!
I've opened a new novel in Scrivener and copypasted the little RPG themed shorts from here to there. I've organized a character tab for the party, set up some general breakdowns in the empty manuscript, and I feel like I'm ready to go. I have to decide how I'll back up my work.

that's awesome PaperGrace! I'm glad to hear you're ready to go! For backups, I use a program called Dropbox. On my computer it acts just like any other file folder. I can open it the way I would my documents and save to it the same way. All my Scrivener files save to it. The best part of dropbox is that it automatically backs everything up to their online server (accessed at dropbox.com). Also, I can download a dropbox app (which I have) to any android device (I think it's on apple products too, not sure). So any file I save in dropbox on my computer, I can then access on my phone, tablet, or by going to their website. So basically every time I hit save on my work, it's automatically backed up (actually I'm pretty sure Scrivener auto saves as you go too, doesn't it?)

day one of Camp NaNoWriMo is done here in Alberta. I achieved just over 2.5 hours of editing/revising today, so I'm 2500 words into my 20,000 word goal for the month. Hopefully things keep flowing easily.
