Hello!
I haven't written anything that I've shared with others in a long, long, time. (Maybe we should have a board about writers block too?) A lot of the things I write are written out by hand, as much visual art as prose/poetry, but some of it may translate well, if I take the time to type it out.
I always think I'll remember to jot down the things that come to me, or that I'll find time to sit down and write, it rarely happens. My head is getting crammed with ideas. When I do find a moment to write I feel like I'm just blurting things out onto paper to get them down, which would be fine if I took the time to continue and refine these ideas, but I get distracted too easily these days and can't seem to commit.
I have all the reason in the world to be distracted, and all the reason in the world to want to get back into writing: Two amazing little boys; one a little over two years old, one just shy of 8 months. Online we call them The Doctor and The General. My Husband hopes that I'll point my creative talents for world-building in the direction of our next Tabletop RPG campaign, but I have other things on/in my mind.
Readilygrey got me thinking earlier in the day about a creative writing class I took, and about when the last time I put any of my writing out into the world for anyone other than close friends might have been, so I looked. I had some old online journals. I'm going to submit some of the things I wrote in them (much of it fiction) about a decade ago now. I may, in fact, critique them myself. I haven't been that person in a long time, I think it will be educational.
Off to cut and paste!

DH played RPGs before we got married but now we just play WoW. It's easier with the munchkins. I like your nicknames for your kids! DH and I do that as well ;D We have: 4 yr old boy = Powerman or Powers 2 yr old boy = Brains, Spirit, or Baby It's amazing they know their names with how often we change them around

Hey paper, I am so glad you are here! boys eh?? I have three little girls. We played some D&D (my husband and I) before my first was born, but it is harder with little ones around. I used to WoW but simply haven't been able to afford it...which is probably a good thing as I played WAY too much. I played on free servers for a while, but it just wasn't the same. Now I play Star Trek Online but it seems to be a lot easier to stop playing that. ... or maybe it's because of SOS, and now CFC (sounds like a wrestling federation! LOL) and I may very well have become addicted for forums (j/k). I do miss wow sometimes, and would like to play again, but with the cost it just hasnt happened

I'm amazed by how much in common all the founding members of this forum have, lol.

well, it must be because we are all awesome I think I like tabletop games and mmorpgs because I can use my creativity to play. I can enter into the world, and allow myself to "see" where my character is and what they are doing, how they sound, how others sound, the colours (i LOVE colours)
