warning....very christian content
What gives a person value? Where does worth come from? Christ died for me. Why? What is so precious about me that I'm worth the Son of God? He loves me so much; He chose to die. Why? What can I offer that would make me worth that love, that devotion? God, Father God, Papa God chose me to be His Son's bride. Jesus pursues me as fervently as any man has ever pursued the love of his life. Why? What is it about me that could ever inspire that? How could I ever be singled out so? How could He love me? I'm worthless.
My child, look again. You are not worthless. You are priceless. I chose you for my Son. If you were the only one alive on this earth, I still would have sent my Son. Even if I knew, beyond all doubt, that among the billions, you would be the only one to choose Him, I still would have sent Him to you. You are the bride of my Son. I love you.
Why? How could you love me?
Dearest, I made you. I formed you, knit you together in your mother's womb. I breathed life into you. I chose your gifts and talents. I chose your eye and hair colour, your skin tone, the sound of your voice. I chose you even then. Your value comes from me. I chose you. I made you. That is your worth. I breathed into you at the moment of your birth. That is what is so precious in you. You are truly unique among humanity; that is precious, worthwhile, and priceless, of unaccountable value. You are mine! I love you!
Thank you, Father.
Heart of my heart, you are truly priceless. Your beauty outshines the stars. You glance my way and my heart races. My breath quickens and I wait, eager, for you to turn fully my way. I long for you to look deep into my eyes and see yourself reflected truly there. I long for you to see your beauty, your worth, your hope, in my eyes.
I'm afraid. What if I see myself in your eyes, and know I disgust you? I'm ugly.
Precious one! Fear not! Be bold and unafraid. My Father formed you, made you. My Father does not make junk. If you look in my eyes, you will see love, my love for you, and your own beauty reflected back at you. You are unique; you are precious among all. You are my bride, my beloved. My sister, my bride, I love you, more than my life! I gave my life for you. If ever other rejected me, it would have made me hesitate. I would still have gone to the cross willingly, seeing the prize. You, my precious one, you, my beautiful bride, you are my prize. You are mine! I love you!
Thank you, my Christ.
Spirit of my Spirit, child of mine, sister, bride, beloved; Let me dry your tears. Each one is precious to me. Your pain is great at times, but I am greater. Let me wrap myself around you. Let me be your Comforter. I will love you. I will guide you. Let me whisper in your ear. I would share truth with you, and life. I would give you wisdom and grace, peace and strength, courage and honour. I would wrap myself around you like a Shield. I would protect you always, if you would but let me.
Why? What could I mean to You that You would protect me? What truth would you show me?
You are priceless. You are truly unique. You are precious to me. I would share with you the truth of who you are, your value and worth, not based on what you do, but who you ARE. I would share the truth of your beauty, your strength, your grace. I would share the truth of who I am. I am the one who formed you, who loves you, who comforts you, who completes you. I am your Father, your Husband, your Lover, your Friend, your Brother, your Companion, your Protector, and your Guide. I am everything you need. I am your Provider, your Guardian; I AM. I would share the truth of you who are, and who you are meant to be. Come to me, draw near to me, and I will draw near to you. Come and reason with me. Come, love me, and let me love you.
Thank you, Comforter. You are the true Comforter; You do not lie. You hold me tight and show me truth. Thank you.
