Do you have to officially sign up for it? Huh, I just realized I don't know how it works other than "write a whole bunch, don't edit it yet." I suppose you don't have to... but there are a bunch of helpful resources there. There's a whole culture/community that has sprung up around the event, and you can participate as much or as little as you like.

For those participating, have you decided what you want to write? I know we were kicking around a few ideas: Freedom's Styx for an opener, OA, anyone have it narrowed down?

Paper: I'm in. I was half dead last night from school and such, I have no idea why signing up sounded scary, lol. I'm not sure what I want to write. I have so many ideas. I'll try to narrow it down this week Scribbliz: 250 words = 1 page. 50,000/250 = 200 pages. For screen writing 1 page = 1 minute of screen time. These aren't always exact, but they are how publishers form estimates. 200 pages is the shortest a book can be and marketed as a novel. Hth.

My goal tomorrow is to sign up for this. I'm doing my best to get a head in school so I have some time to focus just on writing ;D I really hope you can have more than a couple buddies because I definitely want in on the group you all are forming. I missed you guys! Edit: Ok, I did it! I added Papergrace, Scribbliz, and Freedom as buddies. If anyone else is on there please let me know and I will add you as well. I'm having a hard time picking a story all of a sudden, every week I seem to have a new favorite...a psychological thriller about a brother and sister, a post-apocalypse fantasy/undead story, a sci-fi world in a future where cruelty is eradicated to the point of social meltdown, the river stix story... Aah! So hard to commit! Anyway, I look forward to doing this with you guys I've been feeling super insecure about my writing recently (probably because I haven't been writing much at all, arg) and I thing this could be a really awesome experience.

I've 'buddied' all three of you! The new site went live a couple of days ago! I'm so excited, I've been beta testing the changes for a month! (Except I totally slacked off when the boys got sick.) I've joined my 'home region' too, and I'm hoping there will be some people nearby that I can meet up with.

I made a subboard for NaNoWriMo over in the Refinery, since if we are going to go through a month long writing frenzy we are probably going to want to talk about it ;D

readily what a great idea!!! I will admit that I am so scared of this! How will I find time? How will I let my family know how important this is to me? Will I be able to actually MAKE myself do this??

readily what a great idea!!! I will admit that I am so scared of this! How will I find time? How will I let my family know how important this is to me? Will I be able to actually MAKE myself do this?? And yet you certainly did succeed ;D Isn't it wonderful to exceed your own expectations?
