So since I found the forums at NaNo, and the fact that I've been reading a more urban fantasy lately I think I may change away from my ancient fantasy idea for now, I'm going to do some plotting for a more urban fantasy for NaNo.
Here is the plot prompt I found that is exciting me, I found it in the adoptables area
Science and technology has advanced enough that the supernatural community is on the edge of being exposed. The MC is a normal human who has discovered damning evidence that would pretty much blow open the existence of the supernatural community....

ooo....so many questions...does the MC think supernaturals are dangerous and he's trying to protect the world? does she want to keep their secret? does he think they deserve to be accepted? is it a he or a she? what area of the world are they going to be in? so many questions!

This set off a whole thing with my main obsession, I've always been curious about the phoenix, and came across some lines that suit him perfectly, So it's not actually the MC that discovers the existance of the paranormal community, he is part of it, so is the MFC but they are going to need to work to protect the community from the antagonist, the human who is getting to close to the truth.
It shouldn't have suprised them, when the MFC's business (possibly a bar) started attracting other not so mythical creatures, like werewolves and vampires, that someone would notice something amiss. I'm not sure yet who the antagonist is going to be, possibly a Dr. or Vet that ended up treating a werewolf.
While the Phoenix is fairly well developed in my head, I want to explore on paper the difficulties that this might cause, also I have a desire to write an elf, another near immortal, so long as no one takes it in their head to kill her by mundane means, like a bullet to the head or heart.
In my planning I will need to decide how vulnerable they are, to different injuries and how fast the elf heals, etc.

An idea that I came across for an opening line (more nano forum adopatbles) and some other witty lines that my character would say
"It had been 18 years since she had seen him, and the fact that he was dead and she was seeing him now really unnerved her." Kaida prided herself in never being surprised at what the world threw at her, and always took things in stride. Needless to say, finding a dead man in her closet was not what she had expected that Saturday morning.
C1: You're not dead. C2: No. C1: Congratulations.
"Let's be civil about this! In my defense, I fully expected the fire to kill you!"
Female Character: ...Yes, please. Just walk right in. It's not like I could have been naked or anything.
