I took the liberty: even if it's just a description of an object around me. This is a good prompt.

hmmm...and to make it a challenge, we could try writting a description of an object around us, and post it without stating what it is....see if others can figure it out??

This prompt sounds like excellent practice. I tend to find descriptions of objects boring so I skip them I need this so thanks for posting it.

That should be an ongoing thread. I'm so tired but I might try anyway. That's just too much fun ;D (This board needs more smiley options, I always feel so limited by these).

I am not very proboard savvy, but I am going to need to learn If you figure out how to do that, let me know! You are definitely better with computers than I am.

Again I take the liberty:

Circuitous description: try to describe the color qualities of an object without naming the color. (Likewise sound, smell, etc...)
This is going to be hard.

Biographical Blurbs The bio blurbs of people I know in real life are strange to read--be it their blog intro online, the dust jacket of their books, or their professional listing on a company website. scribbliz is working on her bio for Future of Flames, and I got to thinking about how hard it is to talk about oneself. When I get back inside with the boys and if they give me a little bit of time, I'm going to try it out myself. I think I'll practice first with a fictional person, a real person who is a stranger to me (public figure), a real person I know, and THEN myself...

trying to figure out what to say about myself is crazy hard. and rather terrifying; so please paper, share what you write. maybe it will help me figure out where to start. aside question for everyone here, I believe in God, and I believe the Bible to be true. it's part of who I am. Is that something that should be shared in a bio? not necessarily the bio that goes in a book, but in the part that I send to an agent? It's fundamental to who I am, but is it something that they should read, or does it matter to them? I want them to have relevent info, but how does one decide what is relevent? is the fact that I'd call myself a christian (though I would NOT refer to myself as religious) any more or less relevant than the fact that I'm 29, or live in Alberta Canada, or have three girls?
